Venus Aspects to Saturn
Note: For semi-sextile, read the sextile. For semi-square, read the square. The same traits and characteristics apply, but they will not be as prominent, as pronounced or as influential as they are with either the sextile or square.
Venus Conjunct Saturn: You have the potential to be a great artist and/or mathematician and can have insight into the harmonious workings of the laws of nature. You're self-disciplined, hard-working and your sense of duty and happiness are closely tied together. A sense of justice, loyalty and fair play makes you a good friend. You may not have many friendships but those you have are long-lasting and meaningful. Guard against a tendency to use others for emotional gratification. You may fear close associations, especially if one of your parents was too strict or unloving. Marriage may be prevented or delayed. You try to improve your financial/social status by marriage or partnerships, and if afflicted, may marry for money alone. You can be overcautious, miserly, inhibited and a disciplinarian. Either you're selfish or attract selfish people to you-- you must learn to sacrifice willingly and cheerfully to stop this. You use your good judgment to help protect the family dignity and to give practical help to those in need, among other uses. You may have to care for an elderly parent or relative. You may have psychological inhibitions or be depressed and inclined to feel unappreciated and unloved.

Venus Trine Saturn: Your sense of balance, order and proportion give you exceptional skill as an artist or a musician. You have a strong sense of justice and fair play combined with practicality. You also have excellent business skills. You're eager to help those less fortunate learn to help themselves and have a real, practical understanding of how to do that. You're a loyal friend who enjoys lasting, meaningful relationships. Those who don't know you mistake your overly serious and reserved nature for coldness and unresponsiveness. As a result, you have little or no happy social life. You're thrifty, a good judge of character and tend to be a late bloomer due to an innate sense of loneliness. If Saturn is in the first three houses, the first part of your life is difficult, but you have the strength and ability to accept suffering as a part of growth.

Venus Square Saturn: Your emotions are blocked, causing stiff formality or shyness, and your happiness may be blocked by excessive responsibility. Your life is filled with hardship or else you're over-sensitive to ordinary misfortune. You find it difficult to express your true feelings because you fear rejection or non-acceptance. Misfortunes may shut you off from affections or cause disappointment and unfulfilled romance which can make you anti-social, starting a self-perpetuating cycle of disappointment and loneliness. You can be melancholic, mean, jealous, defensive, selfish and thoughtless. To repay the karmic debt you owe you must learn to be more giving. If Saturn is in the fourth house, your latter life will be lonely if you don't overcome selfishness. You can be calculating in gaining wealth, power and prestige. If you're wealthy and powerful, you may use it to attract a younger mate or a younger mate is attracted to you because of your wealth and power. In any case, there's usually a large age difference between you and your spouse. You should not marry until you're at least twenty-eight. Financial difficulties are due to a lack of givingness. Learn to relate to others. Your parents may be a burden or emotionally oppressive. Minor faults (yours and others') take on major importance. You must often sacrifice your happiness for duty. You have technical skill in art but lack originality and inspiration.

Venus Opposite Saturn: You can be thoughtless, defensive, sensitive, shy, selfish and are often depressed. Minor faults (yours and others) often take on major importance. You can repay the karmic debt you owe by being more giving. You're prone to suffer financial hardship-- learn to sacrifice willingly-- and emotional frustration-- learn to relate to others and express your true feelings. You're willing to sacrifice your happiness for duty, but your cold nature (due to continued deprivation or heavy responsibility as a child) make it difficult for you to relate to the public. Your friends may be much older and often misunderstand you. You're apt to end up in a job you don't enjoy or doesn't pay well. You're parents are often poor, too strict, cold, oppressive and/or force responsibility on you too soon. Your fear of rejection or non-acceptance often leads you to delay marriage or even forego it. If you do marry, you're usually unhappy because your spouse can be unresponsive, poor, harsh, dictatorial and much older or the marriage may be based purely on financial considerations.
