Divine Spirit: When faced with sudden upsets or unexpected obstacles, remind me to look first to what I might have done to avoid them before blaming someone else for putting them there. Should I become so complacent that I stand by idly while others struggle within my sight, jolt me back to reality. Let me realize unforeseen obstacles can help me grow faster by challenging the depths of my faith. Let me see unexpected upsets as an opportunity to change the direction of my life and grant me the courage to follow where you lead. Remind me that your infinite Love, wisdom and protection are always with me through every upheaval. Let me learn to admit when I am in need of assistance and help me realize that in accepting another's aid, I'm giving them the gift of giving, for as I'm my brother's keeper, he is also mine. Let me see disruption as a warning and let not my pride insist I continue on a path no longer appropriate for me.
