The day the US as we know it ended.
Melodramatic? Many might think so. I don't. At no other time in the history of this nation have we been so divided. Not even during the Civil War.1 The divisiveness of that time in our history was caused by the North seeking to extend to blacks at least part of the rights that whites already had. In other words, to include more people under the mantle of protection offered by the US Constitution. This time, however, not only are there attempts to actively disenfranchise roughly ten percent of the US population, but the current administration is seeking to remove rights from every citizen: unless you happen to be white, straight, male and Christian. And rich. I almost forgot that one.
For the first time in the history of our nation, there is a determined and concerted effort to write discrimination into the US Constitution. To use the document that protects individual rights to deny those rights to gay Americans. To bypass the First Amendment by taking down the wall of separation between church and state. To bypass the checks and balances of our governmental system by legislating judicial jurisdiction. To subvert the limitations on executive power through legislation like the PATRIOT Act. To use fearmongering to persuade the masses to allow restrictions to basic freedoms like speech, association, religion and the press. To equate patriotism with blind obedience and non-questioning acceptance.
Sadly— and frighteningly— these efforts are succeeding as witnessed by the results of the presidential election on November 2, 2004— the day America died. Hopefully, if we act quickly enough, we can revive this wonderful nation and restore to her the ideals and principles upon which she was founded.
The purpose of this site is to expose the agenda of the radical religious right. To show, one by one, how what we're being told is "patriotic" and "American" is actually the antithesis of the principles laid down by our founding fathers. Today is November 4, 2004. I am just starting this page. But exposing the lies and the deception of this administration and of their political/financial backers— the radical religious right— is now a priority for me. Not only for my own personal reasons (like not having to pay more than $1800 in sales tax on my own house just to put my wife on the title), but also for my children and for the people of this great country: especially those who have been duped into believing that what they're being told to do is good for them and for the nation.
The links on all of the following pages are checked every couple months to determine that they're still active and working properly. However, in the event you find one that isn't working or has been archived, I suggest several possible courses of action.
- Check back later: sometimes a site is down for maintenance and during that time, anything linked to it might show up as a "404: File Not Found" error.
- Highlight the words used to create the link (or the title of the article) and do a web search for it. For example, the words "ideals and principles" in a paragraph above forms a link. Doing a websearch for "US founding ideals and principles" might lead you to an additional source of the information.
- Go to the main page of the link URL and search their site. Sometimes articles are renamed but still accessible. For example, above, the URL for the link is uspatriotsunited.blogspot.com/2005/07/ten-characteristics-of-true-us-patriot.html.
If you were to go to uspatriotsunited.blogspot.com/ and then search the site for "ten characteristics of a true US Patriot", you will find the article. Oftentimes, as in this case, you can use words within the link to help you search.
- Email me and ask me where I got the information from. You can use the contact button at the bottom of every page. Quite often, I have copies of articles that I've used here saved on my computer and may be able to send you a copy.
These pages and the links within provide proof of the planned take-over of our nation by the radical religious right and their efforts to make this country a fundamentalist Christian theocracy. All links within the body of the article as well as those listed below each article will open in a new window. Exposed are the leaders of the various arms of this monster: Pat Robertson, James Dobson, Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Swaggart, Fred Phelps just to name a few. Exposed are the politicians they have in their pockets: Rick Santorum, Marilyn Musgrave, Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and many more. Exposed are the public mouthpieces of these dangerous fundamentalists: Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge, Maggie Gallagher and others. You'll find within real examples of extremists and their growing foothold— no, stranglehold— on this nation's future. Organizations like the Christian Coalition, Focus on the Family, the Moral Majority, Westboro Baptist and the like. Exposed is the agenda these people have been working on since the 1960's, including the kinds of legislation they try to pass of as "patriotic" and "family-oriented". And finally, I will give you my thoughts on why they are succeeding and how you can stop them, including links to watch-dog organizations, additional resources for even more in-depth information as well as additional articles I wrote that counter the claims of the radical religious right leadership on everything from why gay marriage is wrong to why this was never meant to be a Christian nation.
Many might say what I'm doing is no more than fear-mongering, something I accuse this misadministration of doing. But there is a difference between exposing what is going on and wildly speculating on what might happen. If I see a forest fire a mile from my home and I comment on it and suggest getting ready to leave at a moment's notice, I am not "fear-mongering". I am being prepared. If I were to suggest that we not live in the mountains because we're too far from the police and someone might break into our home and hold us hostage or even kill us, then I am fear-mongering. What you will read here is what has happened, what is happening and what, based on past performances by the same individuals and/or groups, is likely to happen. I hope it scares the hell out of you. I hope it motivates you to become (more) involved in saving our nation— something that only we, the people, can do. With that said, I will leave you to your reading. Please bookmark this site and check back often. I plan to update the links and place new articles on as time permits.
I would like to point out here that in many of the articles, I will reference the name "Jesus" from time to time. "Jesus" is the anglicized name of Yeshua bin Josef, who lived from around 4 BC to about 29 AD. Yeshua taught us about the Love of the Creator for all of us. His teachings have been perverted by many of those portrayed in these pages into messages of hate, prejudice, greed and bigotry. I will use the term "Jesus" when referring to Yeshua because the vast majority of Americans would have no idea who Yeshua is and I don't want the underlying message of these pages (ie, the danger of theocracy to the continued existence of the US Constitution and the United States itself) to be muddled by people wondering who Yeshua is on a page about Jimmy Swaggart or Oral Roberts.
One more note of a somewhat technical nature. For reasons unbeknownst to me, sometimes the special symbols used on some pages show up as question marks or other wierd characters. If you discover this is the case, I suggest changing the character encoding for the page. On either Netscape or Interent Explorer, select "View" from the main menu bar, then go to either "Character Encoding" (Netscape) or "Encoding" (Internet Explorer) and change it to either "Western" or "Unicode (UTF-8)". If it's already on one of those, change it to the other and that should resolve your problem.
Note: You can now sign up to have notifications sent to you when changes are made to this page. Just click on the "Monitor Changes" button below and it will open a new window where you can enter your email address. You will then be notified whenever changes are made to this page. Please note that it will monitor this page only, not the entire "Exposed!" website.
| 1 Lincoln, who by today's standards would be considered by most to be a racist, did not free the slaves because he believed they were the equals of whites. While certainly not his most perused works, there are many examples in Lincoln's papers and speeches of his belief in the superiority of the white man. He certainly had no intent of giving blacks full and equal rights as whites when he made the decision to free the slaves. Unlike most in the South, Lincoln disagreed with the Dred Scott decision that declared that blacks were not fully human. He believed that blacks were were entitled to the basic human rights spoken of in the Declaration of Independence: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But certainly not full equality. The reasons for the South's secession were mainly financial. The South simply refused to give up its main free labor source. It had no intention of ignoring the US Constitution: it simply believed that the US Constitution did not apply to blacks, who were not fully human according to the Supreme Court of the United States.|
