Aug. 9, 2001: Due to the number of sites with graphic adult content on it that have applied for this award lately, please note that such sites will not be considered for this award unless they have provided a way to deny access to minors. I'm not talking about discussing what it's like being gay or talking about the different sides of the abortion issue or about why drugs should be legalized. I'm talking about graphic sexual content, even if it's only fiction, or supply a chat room that allows graphic sexual content or pictures that are of half-nude people in suggestive poses. This means that there may be some sites that I'd love to give the award to because of the main message of their site— but because they won't make the effort to limit access to adult material to minors, I can't do that. I believe in being responsible and giving access to adult material to a child is not being responsible.
