Speaking fees are a flat $40/five minutes of speech plus expenses.

Mileage to and from the speech location from my home: $0.30/mile.
Any location more than a four hour drive requires overnight accomodations. (Motel 6 is fine with me.)
Meals: I will pay for the meals myself and provide receipts for reimbursement.
Clothing: If special attire is required that I do not already have, I will pay for the item and will be reimbursed for half the cost.

(Note: Any organization may opt to make alternative travel/meal/clothing arrangements at their expense.)

Half the speaking fee will be required as a down-payment at least two weeks before the event. This will be non-refundable if you should cancel the event. Payment can be either cash, money order, business check or personal check. If a check bounces, unless payment in cash or money order is received within three days after I notify you that the check has bounced, I will not speak at your event.

If weather or other circumstances require a cancellation and the event is not rescheduled, half of the downpayment will be returned. If I am unable to attend the rescheduled event, all of the downpayment will be returned.

The remaining fee will be due after the speech and can be either cash, money order or business check. No personal checks please.

Non-profit organizations may inquire about a discounted speaking fee.
